The 125 year old louvre door entrance of the prestigious Asprey jewellers in London was integrated into a bi-parting curved sliding door using the record R61 which is an underfloor drive unit for curved sliding doors.

Asprey,the London based jewellers, had heavy existing 125 year old louvre doors which formed part of their distinctive shop front and which they wanted to keep. A solution was found by integrating the doors into an automatic bi-parting curved sliding door system by installing the record R61 concealed underground drive unit for curved sliding doors. The architects on this project were Foster and Partners of London. The passage width of the installation was 1300 mm, the height 2300 mm and the installation depth was 150 mm as a special commission.
